VITAMIN C AND YOUR WEIGHT An adequate amount of vitamin C can help you keep the weight off. A recent medical study from Arizona State found that folks with low blood concentrations of vitamin C, who exercised for 60 minutes, burned 20 to 25 percent less fat than other participants with adequate amounts of vitamin C. Vitamin C protects the body from toxic compounds, as a result of fat metabolism, so they can be safely removed from the body, helping to prevent the damage oxidized fats can cause.

Recent research has indicated that the intake of antioxidants can prevent or counteract cell damage due to aging and exposure to free radicals. Free radicals have been linked to certain cancers in the human body and so with the proper intake of vitamin C, you can reduce your risk of the formation of cancer cells. This information is extremely vital especially when cancer has taken the lives of many people in the world.

Ingredients 2 large pink or ruby red grapefruits 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1/4 inch thick strips 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground coriander 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter 2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce 1 teaspoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste 8 cups roughly chopped romaine lettuce, (about 2 hearts) 1 cup sliced radishes, (about 8 radishes)

With a sharp knife, remove the peel and white pith from grapefruits and discard. Cut the grapefruit segments from the surrounding membranes, letting them drop into a small bowl. Working over a large bowl, squeeze the remaining membranes to extract the juice. Set the juice and segments aside separately.

Vitamin C is extremely important to your overall health and with the proper Vitamin C intake, you can reduce the risk of many physical ailments that befall us when we get older. Vitamin C Deficiency symptoms can be low infection resistance, dry hair, thyroid insufficiency, tooth cavities, bleeding gums, poor digestion and bruising.
